Unit 8 When is your birthday?
Task 1 班級生日冊
以小組為單位,互相詢問對方的生日,做好小組記錄,匯總成班級生日冊,并做簡單統(tǒng)計。如同一個月生日的人數(shù),同一日期生日的人數(shù)。
Step 1.讓學生觀察序數(shù)詞1--31的規(guī)律,發(fā)現(xiàn)并找到其中的規(guī)律,一般的以-th結(jié)尾,1,21,31都以-st結(jié)尾,2,22以-nd結(jié)尾,3,23以-rd結(jié)尾。
(Ordinal number 1 st-31st.)
Step 2.互相詢問對方的生日,做好小組記錄。

Task 2 尋找同學們共同喜歡的日子
Step 1.課前,將全班分成四人一個小組,以小組為單位制作一個2002年的英文小日歷,要求學生用英文標上各個月份的名稱,并在日歷上標出本組成員喜歡的日子。
Step 2. 展出各個小組的英文日歷,并說出在2002年中本組成員最感興趣的日子,為什么?
Step 3.各小組匯報本組的情況,尋找同學們共同喜歡的日子。

Task 4 班級日歷
期中考試結(jié)束了,班級需要制定下半學期的活動安排。學生四人一組,為班級設(shè)計下半學期的活動安排,看一看哪一組設(shè)計的活動安排最合理,最受同學們歡迎。
Step 1 小組討論,組員都喜歡哪一些活動。

學生制作記錄個人重要日期的日歷,可記錄自己和家人的日程安排,并作簡短展示,回答問題。

Task 6 挑戰(zhàn)性活動
課上統(tǒng)計在十二月份出生的學生名單,讓他們在生日那天做一個值日報告,內(nèi)容可包括自己的喜好、幸運號碼、星座、出生時的天氣,名字的由來,生日那天發(fā)生的有趣的事。其余的同學為他/她唱生日歌,并用英文寫一句祝福的話。
